
MAJORITY ASSISTANT WHIP @ UTAH STATE SENATE
Sen. Kirk A. Cullimore Jr. represents parts of Salt Lake and Utah County, including Sandy, Draper and Highland (District 9). He joined the Senate in 2018 and currently serves as the assistant whip in the majority caucus. He co-chairs the Infrastructure and General Government Appropriations Subcommittee and serves on the Social Services Appropriations Subcommittee; Business and Labor Standing Committee; Judiciary, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Standing Committee and Tax Restructuring and Equalization Task Force.
Sen. Cullimore received an associate degree in music from Utah Valley University, a bachelor’s degree in music from Brigham Young and a law degree at the University of Oklahoma. He began his law career in Oklahoma primarily in Federal Indian Law, but now focuses on property management, fair housing and real property. Sen. Cullimore and his wife Heather live in Sandy, Utah with their six children.
